Ben Sutton 2010 Schedule for Florida Golf School Released to GolfSchool.com

Schedule your golf school vacation dates now and get the 20% Early Bird discount off the standard rates. Plan now to ensure a successful and improved 2010 golf season.

Kent, Ohio (PRWEB) October 16, 2009 -- Ben Sutton Golf Schools, entering its 42nd year, announces the release of its schedule for the upcoming 2010 golf school season. Dates for the Florida golf school through the end of May 2010 are available along with prices for various Florida golf school plans and packages.

Golf schools at Ben Sutton differ from many other golf instruction experiences. School days are typically 6 hours long and conducted on a 50+ acre Teaching Facility, specifically designed for practicing all aspects of a round of golf. Students attending receive instruction from the same golf professional for their entire stay, enabling the professional to get a real feel for the student's golf swing and what areas need to be worked on for improvement.

"We are very excited to continue the tradition that my grandfather Ben started over 40 years ago." says Ashley Sutton, Vice President and the third generation of the Sutton family to operate the school. "Providing fair prices for our unique and effective brand of 'Learn of the Course' golf instruction is something our family has taken pride in for many many years."

Every student leaves having seen, heard and felt what they need to do to improve their golf game. They also leave with a Personalized CD-ROM of their golf school instruction experience. In the CD the golf professional shows before and after swing video and provides key fundamentals each student needs to work on to continue improvement.

Be an Early Bird and get your 2010 golf season off to a good start with a golf school vacation at Ben Sutton Golf School.

About Ben Sutton Golf Schools
Ben Sutton Golf School was founded in 1968 to provide golfers of all ages and abilities with highly effective, "learn of the course" golf instruction. Certified PGA and LPGA teaching professionals, equipment, and facilities designed to teach golf provide an environment enabling students to improve their swings, play more consistently and lower their scores. Instruction is the focus of the teaching facilities at Ben Sutton. Students learn in actual playing conditions and situations, hitting real shots, from real tees, fairways, rough and bunkers, over and around water to real greens. Course management, situational thinking, playing strategy, set up & alignment, swing analysis and practice planning are part of all instruction programs. Instruction areas include putting and chipping greens for short game training, hitting stations from 50-150 yards to real greens for mid-range training, hitting stations from 150-250 yards to target greens for long game and tee shot training and V1 Pro Swing Analysis studios.

Sessions of 2, 3, 4 and 6 days (12, 18, 24 and 36 hours of instruction, respectively) and one-on-one private lessons of 1, 3 and 6 hours are conducted all year long at the Florida school and from May through September in Windham, New York.

Golf: Crosland Heath unveil new training facility

CROSLAND Heath are hoping their new practice bay is going to prove a big hit with local golfers.

The club officially opened their new all-weather teaching bay to complement what they already boast at their Felks Stile Road headquarters.

The impressive facility will allow members and visitors to take advantage of expert coaching from the club’s resident PGA professional Richard Lambert, who has now been at Crosland Heath for 18 months.

Because the bay is covered, it will ensure golfers can continue to have lessons or practice whatever the weather.

To assist teaching, the bay is equipped with high-definition video analysis equipment, an Explanair training machine, leaderboard and other coaching aids to make Heath the envy of other clubs.

It is a point not lost on Lambert, who joined last March after starting his pro career at Lincoln Golf Club and Forest Pines.

“Everyone has been very helpful since I arrived at Crosland Heath last year, both members and officials, and I’m very pleased at the move,” said Lambert, who along with his wife and young family also lives in nearby Linthwaite.

“During my short tenure I have been very impressed with the club’s desire to continually improve and enhance their facilities and add to what is already a great golfing experience.

“The teaching/practice bay is a great addition. We already have a fantastic practice ground, incorporating the best short game facility in the Halifax, Huddersfield Union.

“This new bay will allow me to teach all year round.

“Together with Robert Stansfield, my PGA assistant, we now have a great opportunity to take our coaching to a new level, which will ultimately benefit both members and visitors of all levels of ability,” added Lambert, who is now also a coach to the Halifax, Huddersfield Union team.

Lambert has also quickly made his mark in Halifax, Huddersfield Alliance competitions, having finished second in the season-opener at Crow Nest Park, before sharing first place with Outlane pro Dave Chapman a fortnight since.

“Five years ago the club embarked on a plan to ensure a sound financial footing for its Centenary celebrations in 2014, while still maintaining heavy investment in greenkeeping equipment and releasing funds for its rolling programme of clubhouse improvements,” said general manager Steve Robinson.

“That plan is now complete and has brought in funds to ensure the club is in the best position to weather the current financial storm.

“The popularity of golf over the last 10 years has seen an increase in pay-and-play courses and a changing attitude to golf by new players coming into the sport which, combined with the economic pressure, has placed many traditional clubs in a difficult position financially.

“Fortunately, that is not the case here.”

Designed by Alister Mackenzie (who also famously designed the Augusta National) the Crosland Heath benefits from exceptional drainage, allowing members to play virtually all year round.

Meanwhile, the quality of the greens is renowned (head greenkeeper Richard Holmes, has just won a major award in the Huddersfield Cricket League for his excellent work on the ground at Scholes) and the challenge of the par three holes is considerable.

Despite its lofty position, the Heath is relatively flat, the course is not arduous to walk and it is a sought-after venue for visiting parties.

It is also a club which has built a strong reputation for loyal membership and has a tradition of attracting ex-professional and local talent from football, rugby and cricket clubs in the area, and regularly stages major County and Halifax, Huddersfield Union competitions – and next year will host the prestigious PS Cockcroft Trophy.

To introduce the new bay to existing and potential new members, the club are holding a ‘coffee morning’ next Sunday, October 25 (10am-11.30am), when there will be an opportunity to play a few holes, look round the facilities and obtain details of membership.

Lambert, meanwhile, has also a one-off opportunity with the first 10 Examiner readers who book a course of lessons receiving a free Callaway polo shirt (worth approximately £39.95). To book call 653877.

The club are launching a ‘Winter Special’ offer, between November and March, with a fourball package of 18 holes and meal for £88. Tee times are between 10 and 11am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and to book either contact the professional or the clubhouse 653216.
